Once again, in stock, here at Wildwood! Taylor's very popular "Praise" guitar begins as a 714; but, mysteriously, the similarity to the regular 700-series instrument ends when you first massage its strings! The burst of beautifully-blended harmonies intertwines with your devotional vocals, and you are absorbed into a very special spirituality!
Oh, alright, the description may be a "little" over the top; but this IS a fabulous-sounding and playing guitar, and will be readily affirmed by our many new friends who have received one of these from Wildwood!
Its Cedar Top blends so seamlessly in tone with its beautiful East Indian Rosewood Back and Sides. The special Tobacco Sunburst top combines stunningly with inlays on headstock and fretboard, which actually were designed by Steven's daughter, Maria, who passed away at the age of 5! Take premium Koa wood, wrap it around Bob Taylor's Grand Auditorium model, and an exquisite jewel of a guitar is born! The dulcet tones emanating from this finely-crafted masterpiece will enthrall you, if its magnificent beauty hasn't done so, already! This is the last K24CE that we will have available as a standard model that has Abalone binding around the top of the body. This is one of Taylor's finest!! This spectacular guitar has returned, in 2011, to the glory of former years, with the re-introduction of the Cindy inlay motif on the fingerboard, bridge, and headstock! Also, it is made with a golden, clear, Sitka Spruce top, and the binding is again that beautiful Rosewood, replacing the grained Ivoroid! The highest grade East Indian Rosewood graces the back and sides; and the color of the Abalone pearl on the top fairly dances!! And what about the Gotoh 510 Tuning Machines? They can make keeping your 914 tuned to faultless perfection! And, your heart will be dancing with joy when you play this fabulous guitar; the beautiful tones will mesmerize and delight your musical senses.
Made with East Indian Rosewood, and Sitka Spruce, this powerful Dreadnought is completed with Flamed Maple binding on the body, on the neck, and around the headstock. The 800-series fingerboard inlays enhance the elegance of this guitar! But don't stop here! Pick on this with authority, and be thoroughly delighted with its power and balance! All this wonderfulness, and supreme playability, too!
This is the re-designed Grand Concert body with the Short Scale and Slotted headstock. The closer scale length makes the guitar easier to play, and the headstock brings the strings back at a steeper angle, putting more tension on the strings. This genius combination produces an extremely comfortable fretboard experience, and a very strong string response! This is a special treat to play, to hold next to you; your original music will literally pour out of this elegant Grand Concert Taylor!
We have enjoyed the short scale models so much that we decided to add this wonderful model to our inventory! The comfort and ease of play allows you to "cuddle up" and play for hours on end! The seeming mountains of sound coming out of this small guitar will amaze and please you!
Striking flamed Maple body binding accentuates the beauty of the East Indian Rosewood. The Sitka Spruce top is of a very high grade. The lovely fingerboard inlays point the way to delightful harmonies.
This Grand Symphony (GS) size truly combines the best ideas from the classic Dreadnought sound, which many of us grew up listening to, and such enjoyable comfort from the body shape similarity to that of the Grand Auditorium (GA) Taylor! You first become joyfully overwhelmed by the glorious burst of sound, and realize that your arm doesn't hurt from stretching it over the guitar body, because its narrow waist fits so perfectly on your knee!
This guitar fingerpicks, and loves to respond merrily to a solid flatpick, as well! And the Traditional East Indian Rosewood/Sitka Spruce combination, chosen from very premium woods, both reminds you of past musical memories and inspires you to write fresh, new ones to perform in your future!
Marty and I both love the sound of fine Western Red Cedar, so we elected to "Modify A Model" and asked our Taylor luthiers to make the 816CE topped with this warmer and rounder-sounding wood. We love the way it enhances the familiar clear and sparkling Taylor tones, and have great joy in their ebullient flow! Yes, the 716CE has this same wood combo, but the 816CE boasts higher quality tonewoods, gorgeous pearl inlays on the fingerboard, a beautiful Figure Maple binding on the body, neck, and headstock for just a little bit more money.
Marty's keen eye for a wonderful bargain shrewdly chose this modification, since your extra cost for this "upgrade" from Wildwood is only $168! (Total Retail for these upgrades is $1,440.00, through the Build To Order shop!). Perhaps you will want to share in our attraction to this wonderful instrument, too!
With a beautiful Cedar Top, and East Indian Rosewood, this wonderful guitar also combines with the fabulous Expression System, making it a great choice! We bought the last of this always popular Taylor model. After these are sold, you will only have them available through Taylor's BTO Custom shop! So, if you have always wanted a wonderful, Cedar-topped Rosewood GA Taylor, THIS is the time to own one--at great Wildwood prices!
This is Taylor's latest offering in its 700-series Acoustic/Electric line. Featuring a beautifully-shaded dark Tobacco Sunburst on its now Engelmann Spruce top, this fine instrument is bound in creamy grained Ivoroid. The fingerboard is adorned with a new inlay pattern, the "Heritage Diamond!"
The dark face of this wonderful new Grand Symphony addition to Taylor's fabulous standard models is signalled with a gorgeous Tobacco Sunburst Top! Also new this year is the change from Cedar to Englemann Spruce--an American "Alpine" Spruce that grows at elevations of 4000 feet and higher in the American Northwest. It is a rare commodity, and has been thought to combine both open qualities of Cedar, and prominent sounds of Sitka Spruce! You will love the new "Heritage Diamond" inlay in the fingerboard, and the accent of its creamy Ivoroid Binding around the top. ES system is included with this new model! The best thing is the volumes of sound you will be encircled with from this new Taylor inspiration!
Grand Symphony, Big Leaf Maple and Sitka Spruce—with the Expression System! Our customers have commented on their surprise at the "bigness" of the bass, and the retention of very clear mids and treble ranges of this spectacular Maple!
Retail Price: $3398 — Wildwood's Price: $1998!
What a warm and robust tone this Genuine Mahogany (from Central America) creates! The tight-grained Cedar top is the perfect complement to this fine wood!
The precisely-crafted slotted headstock creates the right amount of extra tension, and joins with the American Mahogany back and sides and Cedar top to bear out a crisp, warm sound as you caress its strings!
We were originally accustomed, when Bob Taylor introduced this Ovangkol guitar, to present the 414 as a surrogate for his Rosewood version. After all, this "new" instrument wood possessed a similar density, and delivered a more nuanced sound than that of Mahogany, which was what Taylor's 314 guitars were made with. But now we find that this model is becoming a wonderfully-treasured choice of players, on its own sound and visual merits. Play it soon, and let us know what you think of the tonal response, as you put this remarkable creation through its acoustic paces! You won't be disappointed, and may fall in "musical love" all over again!
Bigger is not always better, and beauty is in the beholder's eye; but you will be hard-pressed not to be drawn in by the grace and allure of this Grand Symphony Taylor! Do you enjoy alternative tunings, or prefer a full range of sounds that combines clear articulation with convincing power? This instrument encompasses, but does not boom; it produces clear mids and trebles that are beautiful, but not too jangly. All this, plus the familiar Taylor comfort at you feel, as you rest this special treasure on your knee! Need we mention the superior playability of the spectacular Taylor neck?
Taylor's winning combination of Sapele wood for the back and sides, and Sitka Spruce for the top takes charge of your guitar budget! This instrument has that wonderful combination of great sound and the right price!
When you pick this guitar up for the first time, you know this is something very remarkable! The specially chosen combination of an exactly right set of Sinker Rosewood and richly-toned East Indian Rosewood rewards your expectqtion as you stroke the first chords! The standard scale seems exactly right for this instrument. Fingerboard appointments chosen were the Taylor engraved diamonds, a favorite of viisitors here at Wildwood! There is also the Cindy bridge inlay, which tastefully combines with Taylor's clear pickguard and gold tuning machines!
Retail Price: $4722 — Wildwood's Price: $2799
This beautiful reddish-brown wood is produced by a tree that will be available for use after about 30 years of growth! The Hawaiians are now making better use of this wood than using it for making dugout canoes. Some of the flowers the trees produce are used to make a nectar drink by the native peoples, bu they mostly sell this wood for instruments and cabinetry. I sure am glad the wood used for this GACE was not made into a kitchen enclosure! It sounds so much better than it would as a holder of oatmeal and canned corn! It certainaly is beautiful, and one strum will convince you that Bob Taylor certainly made a fine choice in this fantastic Limited Edition!
Grand Auditorium model! As Bob Taylor has said, "This is definitely a guitar with 'mucho mojo'!" This combination of Cedar and Ebony produces a darker, richer tone with fine depth and sustain!
Like it's relative, the Spring Limited GCCE version, this larger model also features a 12-fret join with the slotted headstock, with beautiful Koa binding, and the Macassar backstrap on the headstock! This combination of special premium woods produces even stronger and clearer trebles and sparkling mid-range tonality, and amps up the bass, although you won't be bass-muddied! When you pick, or gently caress these strings, your musical bliss will definitely accelerate!
Retail Price: $4998 Wildwood's Price: $2998!
The sounds of this beautiful Cocobolo wood reminds us so very much of its much more expensive relative, Brazilian Rosewood. Cocobolo is a bit denser, tends to sustain a little more than other Rosewood Species, and the Sitka Spruce top allows the lingering bass, mids, and trebles to really explode as they make their way throught the solid woods!
This Grand Concert model Taylor features a 12-fret join with the slotted headstock, with beautiful Koa binding, and the Macassar backstrap on the headstock! The resonant Cedar top has been adorned with a beautiful "Edge Burst" finish. This combination of special premium woods produces very strong and clear trebles and sparkling mid-range tonality! When you strum or pluck this guitar, it immediately jumps into a smart retort of resonant responses! And, it fits so very comfortably in your arms!
Retail Price: $4998— Wildwood's Price: $Very Low!

Retail Price: $4842 — Wildwood's Price: $2898! SOLD!
Our Taylor friends, Roxanne and Barney, specially selected the Sinker Redwood and the Premium East Indian Rosewood that this guitar was crafted with! The Sinker Redwood was salvaged from the bottom of the Mendocino River in California. It lay there, at the river’s bottom, for over 150 years; and it continuously absorbed minerals from the flowing waters. This resulted in a beautiful striping in the grain of the now quarter-sawn planks, and is strikingly evident when you enjoy the pictures.
Tonally, this guitar is rich and clear and vibrant, with just the right amount of sustain. The blank fingerboard beautifully accommodates the guitar’s short scale; and the tasteful 900 Series bridge inlay and the Antique Gold Gotoh 510Z tuning machines perfectly complete this Custom instrument’s statement of elegance!
Retail Price: $4641 — Wildwood's Price: $2799!
Tonally, this guitar is even more than you would expect from the Taylor folks. Yes, there is that beautiful responsiveness and clarity; but this Sinker top really “pushes” your sounds! The Bass is more precise and punchier with the Redwood than Cedar would be, and it blends masterfully with mid-range notes. Meanwhile, as you play treble leads up the neck, the sustain of bass and mids enriches and masterfully colors your musical idea! The blank fingerboard more than adequately accommodates the guitar’s short scale; and the tasteful 900 Series bridge inlay, along with the Antique Gold Gotoh 510Z tuning machines, elegantly complete this Custom instrument’s statement of acoustic precision!
Retail Price: $4641 — Wildwood's Price: $2799!

Large, engraved diamonds on the fretboard, plus the charming "Cindy" bridge inlay, guide you to new highs in guitar love!!

With a very clear Redwood top, this guitar explodes with power and grace. Premium Redwood always sounds wonderful when fingerpicked and this guitar is no exception. And, in addition, a flatpick produces enormous clarity and volume! No wonder, with the beautifully-patterned, aged wood on the back and sides, that came from South America so many decades ago. We had a clear pickguard installed, to view the beauty of the Redwood. Large, engraved diamonds guide your way along the fretboard. A single ring of colorful Abalone pearl forms the soundhole's rosette. Ebony overlays the headstock—which features Gold tuning machines; and the "Cindy" inlay tastefully ornaments the bridge.

Retail Price: $5142 — Wildwood's Price: $2998! SOLD!
This magnificent, and very popular Grand Symphony size fairly "raises the roof"! Combining rare Amazon Rosewood with a spectacular and clear Redwood top results in an instrument that is so very musically versatile! To protect this precious wood, we had Taylor install their clear pickguard. Most musicians would not really notice the Short Scale, but, invariably, they tell us how easily the guitar plays!! The fingerboard is without markings in the black Ebony, giving it a stately air; and, finally, the bridge proudly exhibits its joy with Taylor's exquisite "Presentation" Series bridge inlay!!
Retail Price: $5052 — Wildwood's Price: $3198!
You absolutely won't believe the tonal power coming from this small-bodied guitar! We selected a beautiful Florentine cutaway to add to the vitality of the special Engelmann top! Making this in Taylor's popular Grand Symphony size opens up the musical variety of styles that you can enjoy on this important guitar! The Taylor Tortoise pickguard is optional. Choosing an elegant blank fingerboard, we thought the perfect complement was a "900" series bridge inlay. An Ebony overlay on the headstock and the gold tuners seemed to perfectly match the single ring Abalone rosette, bringing together a perfect amalgam of glorious tone and visual beauty!
Retail Price: $5102 — Wildwood's Price: $2998! SOLD!

The finest Cocobolo Rosewood is paired with Premium Sitka Spruce on this Limited Edition. The top is braced with Adirondack Spruce, which is very "springy", and very responsive to every playing style. CV especially-routed bracing pattern increases the dynamic range of this powerful instrument. Cocobolo tends to produce a very pleasing bass response, because the wood is so dense. With the consistently clear tone that Taylors are so well-known for, this guitar has a very beautiful balance of sound. Each of these guitars has Figured Maple bindings, which really accentuate the rare and stunning Cocobolo. A glossy, peghead backstrap is an added plus. The Gotoh 510Z Antique Gold tuning machines possess a 21:1 high gear ratio! Finally, the bone nut and saddle (to enhance the acoustic volume) and the Expression System (along with the Venetian Cutaway), give Fall Limited devotees an excellent, exciting new offering from Taylor Guitars!

A repeat of the above instrument, except that this one is built as a larger, Grand Auditorium model! As Bob Taylor has said, "This is definitely a guitar with 'mucho mojo'!" This combination of Cedar and Ebony produces a darker, richer tone with fine depth and sustain!
This year's version is different from last year in that it sports a Cedar top for a splash of extra warmth! On the fingerboard is the now-familiar "Pipeline" inlay that was designed by Larry Breedlove; and you will love the figured Maple binding! It really sets this fabulous-sounding 414CE off, visually!
Looking for a Taylor with a huge sound and extraordinarily rare Rosewood?! Look no further, for this is THE ONE!! We designed it with a Short Scale for ease of play. The Premium Alpine Engelmann top really brings out the trebles, mids, and bass with equal power and clarity! Finally, we finished this off with an elegant blank fingerboard, and added the perfect touch of elegance with Bob Taylor's "Cindy" bridge inlay!

Maybe you have heard—or played—a guitar that has been topped with fine Western Red Cedar? Large, luxuriant tones flow out as you play the instrument. Now, play this GACE—also possessing that same fine Cedar—and multiply that tonal resonance by a power of 10!! Strong, powerful basses are unexpected compliments of the lovingly-aged Palo Escrito Rosewood! Still, there is amazing clarity and purity in the mid-ranges and trebles. This neck was built with a Short Scale, and we selected the Large Engraved Diamond inlays to enhance the visuals of the Ebony fingerboard! Ascetically, you will find the "900 Series" bridge inlay both tasteful and quite pleasing to the eye.
Retail Price: $4842 — Wildwood's Price: $2998!
This Custom Grand Symphony guitar features an extremely high grade of Western Red Cedar for the top. The fingerboard was made with Taylor's Short Scale length, and Engraved Diamonds were inlaid on the fingerboard. We chose the "900" Series bridge inlay, to complete the tasteful elegance of this special instrument! While you might expect a fair amount of "boom" to sound out of this guitar, you will be completely unprepared for the sterling purity of these mids and trebles!!
Retail Price: $4592 — Wildwood's Price: $2699!
In a Grand Symphony size, the same woods result in even bolder basses, mids, and trebles! The raw force of the volume of tone will captivate the heart of any strummer! But, with the clarity of each note, it is also a joy to fingerpick!

When our friends at Taylor said they had ANOTHER set of incredible East Indian Roadwood, we couldn't resist having another 12-fret, short scale GA—(14-sized)—this time the Luthiers insisted upon the Premium Engelmann that you see in the pictures! The Ebony fretboard is without ornamentation, and gives a clean, elegant look with its Slotted headstock and "Presentation" bridge inlay. One look at this guitar, and one strum (or a little fingerpicking), is all it will take to capture your heart!

The exquisite Claro Walnut top is richly "Tiger-Striped"! The beautiful Claro Walnut back and sides match perfectly! The neck is stained with an attractive Walnut color to match! This is an absolutely breathtaking Premium Claro Walnut GA!It boasts a 12-fret join to go along with its slotted headstock! The short scale is ornamented with inspiring engraved diamonds, and the bridge inlay adds additional class. But the real push behind the obvious visible charm of this guitar is its sound, its tonal response, when flat- or fingerpicked! The forward-positioning of the bridge in the widest part of the lower bout is what makes the top really come to life! Everybody who comes into the shop here at Wildwood—almost to a person—reacts with an exclaiming "WOW!," when this GA starts to 'sing!'
