GSCE-LTD-BRAZILIAN/ADIRONDACK: Of all the rarest, precious woods to build musical instruments from, extinct Brazilian Rosewood is the most highly prized! Bob Taylor discovered a very small cache of this wood, which was cut many, many years ago; it has air-dried to perfection. The top utilizes the finest Adirondack Spruce, with Adirondack "CJ" profile bracing. The fingerboard is left blank, to draw your eyes to the exquisite Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. Custom R. Taylor Guitars Now at Wildwood!!
Just Arrived-Style 1, Brazilian Rosewood and Italian Alpine Spruce--What can we say about this guitar, but WOW...WOW...WOW!!! This set of Brazilian Rosewood was especially selected by Bob Taylor for its beauty and perfect grain density. We have been waiting for the "Holy Grail" of top wood to arrive at R. Taylor, and here it is! This particular Italian Alpine top is an incredibly premium example of the rare and precious wood used by Antonio Stradivari, on his masterpiece violins. Modified "X" bracing, and a 65 foot top radius serve to bring out the very best tonal response. A slim-carve neck was added for comfort and ease of playing. Abalone pearl dots on the fingerboard bespeak a quiet elegance. We chose an aesthetically pleasing Rosewood binding, with pinstripes, to accentuate the stunning Brazilian back and sides. If you are the guitar player who is searching for the ultimate instrument--in every sense of the word--this is it!!!
Style 2, Swiss Alpine Moon Spruce and Madagascar Rosewood--This is the last of the exquisite Moon Alpine Spruce from the Alps, in Switzerland! The extraordinarily straight and tight grain produces a balanced and powerful response. Combine this top with the magic of Madagascar Rosewood, and this small-bodied gem, with a comfortable short scale length, comes alive in your hands, as you lovingly caress its strings! Perfection! SOLD!!
Flamed, Master Grade, all Koa (Top, Back, and Sides)--This outrageously-beautiful, highly-flamed Koa Style 1 may well be the finest R. Taylor guitar we have had to date! Adirondack Spruce forms the Modified X brace with a Flat Geometry top, chosen for maximum sound output. In addition, the same Adironcack wood braces the back, as well! The beautiful Venetian Cutaway adds additional elegance to this already-classy design, with Ebony binding outlining and further defining this beauty. Lay your hands on this "slim-carve" neck, and let your musical self go!! If you lose your way, the lovely4 mm Abalone dots on the fingerboard will get you back on course! SOLD!!
Lutz Spruce Top, Honduran Mahogany Back and Sides--This is anything but an ordinary Mahogany guitar! The stiffness of this rare Lutz is ranked between Sitka and Adirondack, and responds to both a well-placed pick and precise fingerstyling. Asymmetrical top bracing sonically supports tight midrange qualities in this instrument; yet, with a 65' top radius, aggressive players can still expect a wide dynamic response, with great tone clarity. Tasteful Rosewood binding, and an Oh-So-Comfortable slim carve neck--adorned, on the fingerboard, with 4mm Abalone dots--round out this fabulously-contrived musical apparatus!!
Lutz Spruce top, Premium East Indian Rosewood--Traditional tonewoods on a brilliantly-conceived, not-traditional instrument, produce the best of all guitar outcomes. East Indian Rosewood, well-known for its deep basses and brilliant trebles, is married to the wonderfully-resilient Lutz. Lutz has the stiffness of Sitka, and the breathtaking beauty of Engelmann. The modified "X" bracing--R. Taylor's modern take on a time-proven bracing pattern--serves to magnify this guitar's natural bass-trebles tendencies. Magically, the 65-foot radius top geometry keeps the tones from becoming muddied; the sound result is a very punchy, dynamic response, with great clarity. Ebony binding with pinstripes, R. Taylor's magnificent slim carve neck, and 4mm Abalone dots elegantly complete this perfect package!!
Striped Macassar Ebony, Swiss Alpine Moon Spruce--This Style 1 boasts of rare, gorgeous
Striped Ebony on the back and sides, paired with luscious Swiss Moon Alpine Spruce on its top.
The bracing is a modified "X", with a 65-foot top radius. The neck is extra playable, with its
"slim-carve" feature. Other remaining trim includes Rosewood binding,
and 4 mm Abalone Pearl dots.
Madagascar Rosewood, Swiss Alpine Moon Spruce--Another Style 1, this features back and sides
made with glorious Madagascar Rosewood, with the equally rare Swiss Moon Alpine Spruce.
\We've added a cutaway to this rendition, along with the 4 mm Ab dots on the fingerboard.
Inside, the modified "X" supports the 65-foot top radius. We added the "slim-carve neck for extra playing comfort.
