STELLING BANJOS

Goeff and Sherri Stelling and their crew are busily supplying some of the best-sounding and carefully-hand-crafted banjos to an eager and rapidly-growing customer base.

Their small shop is nestled in the mountains of Heards, Virginia.

The shop is housed in a building once built as a one-room schoolhouse.

Just thirty miles away stands the historic Appomattox Court House.

These banjos feature walnut and maple resonators, and the patented pot assembly.

Instead of fitting tone rings and flanges over the wood rim, Goeff invented a wedge-fitted pot assembly.

This assures that changes humidity and temperature will not interfere with purity of tone, and the unrelenting power Stelling Banjos have come to be known for.

The RED FOX

Reddish-stained, curly maple, 'Red Fox' face in peghead, abalone maple leaves in the fingerboard(is there an abalone maple tree growing somewhere?!). This has a lingering charm an personality all its own!
